KATIE COURIC: OVERDONE


Does Katie Couric's move to the anchor position on the "CBS Evening News" truly merit front-page treatment by the Philadelphia Inquirer, let alone front page and above the fold?


And did I really need to receive an e-mail alert from WCAU-TV (NBC, Channel 10) attempting to lure me to watch "live video" coverage of the announcement that Couric's replacement on "Today" will be Meredith Vieira?
