Both CNN and WCAU-TV, Philadelphia's NBC affiliate, saw fit earlier today to send me e-mail news alerts drawing my attention to the fact that one Kirby Puckett had passed away rather suddenly.
As a former boss of mine used to like to say, "Who dat?"
It turns out Mr. Puckett, much to my edification, was a baseball player of considerable renown and accomplishment.
