The Rittenhouse Review
Yesterday evening I was riding the El, Septa's Market-Frankford line, eastbound from Center City, when I saw a young man, no more than 25 years old, working the full-on Kensington look: sparkling white tennis shoes, capri-length wide-bottomed jeans, long white t-shirt, poorly advised facial hair, and a bad cut up on top.
Guys like this normally don't ride the El reading books, but this fellow was absorbed in a surprisingly lengthy looking paperback. I was curious what he might be reading, so I kept glancing that way, hoping to catch a glimpse of the cover.
Surely you will share my surprise to learn he was reading, of all things, In Her Shoes, by Jennifer Weiner!
